My garage door spring broke — can it be repaired today?
Often yes. Broken torsion springs are the single most common garage door failure and we stock the common sizes. Call 850-329-5052 as early in the day as you can and we'll tell you honestly whether we can reach you today. Do not try to replace a torsion spring yourself — they hold enormous stored energy and cause serious injuries every year.
Should I repair my garage door or replace it?
Repair, almost always. Springs, cables, rollers, hinges, openers and sensors are all wear items and replacing them is a fraction of the cost of a new door. Replacement makes sense when panels are cracked or rotted, the door has been hit hard enough to bend the tracks, or the door is old enough that parts are no longer made. We'll tell you which one you're actually looking at.
Why won't my garage door close?
Nine times out of ten it's the safety sensors near the floor — knocked out of alignment, dirty, or with a blocked beam. Look for a blinking LED. If the sensors are clean and aligned and it still won't close, you're likely looking at a limit-switch setting, a cable off the drum, or a logic board issue in the opener. All three are things we repair.
How much does garage door repair cost?
Common repairs — sensor realignment, roller and hinge replacement, cable resets, opener tune-ups — sit at the low end. Spring replacement is mid-range, and we always recommend replacing springs in pairs so you're not back here in six months for the other one. You get the price before we start; no diagnostic surprise at the end.
Do you install new garage doors and openers too?
We do — new doors, new openers and smart openers with phone control. Repair is what we lead with because it's what most people actually need, but if replacement is genuinely the better call, we'll quote it and install it.
